Remember Stephen Fry and his vocal stand for free speech and the stupidity of political correctness? Well, once Hollywood crosses his palm with a few bits of silver he sells out like a cheap whore. What a fucking hypocrite!
Dambusters is to be remade by Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings) and Fry is writing the script but they are afraid that Guy Gibson's dog's name may upset the American audience. You see, Guy Gibson called his dog 'Nigger'. Further than that, 'Nigger' was the codename for the breaching of some of the the dams!
So Fry is going to change the name 'Nigger' to 'Digger'. Well fuck you Mr Fry! You may think it's fine changing British history just to fill your pockets full of silver because the Americans may be offended but l don't think it's fine and no doubt many others don't either . Oh and these offended Americans can go get fucked too.
What's next Mr Fry? Change the crews of 617 Squadron to Americans? Change Guy Gibson's name to Gay Gibson? Have Arnold Schwarzedigger, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis blowing up the dams single-handed? Change the Avro Lancaster bombers to Flying Fortress B-17's? Anything to make you a bit more rich and famous eh, Mr Fry? You should hang your head in shame Mr Fry.
Better still, go remake 633 Squadron ... it never existed ... perhaps like your integrity and honesty?
