Break time! Now back in Bulgaria

l expect posts to be light as l am back in Bulgaria and going into the mountains today. Internet connections will probably be at a premium :) Answering e-mails etc will be slow if anyone sends me such.

Have not flown out of Manchester for a long time and what a depressing experience it was. They have an area for controlling livestock aka Airport Security! Hundreds of passengers shuffling along lines waiting to be processed by drones with little sign of humanity. This is nothing to do with security, it's all about indoctrinating people to obey authority.

lf we are to believe that there is a terrorist threat one has to wonder why the Airport Security area has not been targeted. lt is so unsecure it is beyond belief and there are hundreds of passengers crammed into this area. All you need to get into it is a boarding card printed off your computer and it does not matter whether they are valid or not. The threat to freedom and democracy is not terrorism, it is Airport Security and the like.

Airport security protects you from terrorism as much as it protects you from Pixies and Elephants!

lt is just mindless drones programming mindless sheep!

  1. I'm sure those lines have a lot to do with why workers in the industry refer to passengers as Self Loading Freight. What really pisses me off is that the most of the airlines are treating us that way too and have no desire to stand up to the increased imposition of ridiculous security theatre on their paying customers. Which is why I won't fly unless I absolutely have to.

You're obviously not drinking the *right* drinks at the airport bar then. :P

How can anyone fly Ryanair sober?

....Green Fairy Airlines welcomes you onboard.

  4. Long lines of miserable adults and children waiting to be faced by guards who show no empathy or emotion, stripped of your goods and then forced through secure compartments and then other machines that further remove your dignity by stripping (albeit electronically) you and recording it!

Where o where have we seen that before?

"In the eyes of the Tribunal the review letter contained several preconceptions, prejudgments and non-sequiturs"

"the absurdity of this reason is demonstrated by simply stating it"

"We therefore find that Mr Sked misdirected himself as to the Policy in carrying out the review and his decision is therefore one that no reasonable review officer could have arrived at."

... commonly known here at N2D as 'Skeds' ... that is to say these are Judges comments regarding UKBA Review Officer Ian Sked's reasons for rejecting peoples appeals against seizures.
