Busy Busy Busy

Got loads of paperwork to sort out for tomorrow. First on list is a visit to HMRC to find out why l get no answers about removing false data they hold on me. l've e-mailed the Data Protection Unit and Complaints ... then snail-mailed them, phoned them, faxed them and all response l get is ZERO!

So tomorrow l'm invading their offices! Should be interesting! :)

Then it's on to my local MP to get an Ombudsman complaint against UKBA on the way. Entirely different matter to the above. UKBA Complaints Dept are not fit for purpose ... unless you are UKBA of course! They have more whitewash than B&Q!

I know too well their game ... take ages responding, respond with zero content and hope you shut up. Only channel left is requesting UKBA review your complaint which they do and you get the same response as previously. Then they shut up shop entirely and won't respond to anything. They know the only avenue left is the Ombudsman and they also know people can't be bothered and usually give up. Well, not me! Lets see what happens next.

By the way, if you think it's any better trying to get any response out of John Vine ,the Independent (yeah right) Inspector of the UKBA ... think again! To me it's just another place that stocks whitewash!

  1. It sounds like the health dept. Any complaint about bad treatment in hospital - like the neglect of the elderly - is met with the same stance of delay hoping the complainant will either run out of energy, time or money.

You will of course be recording it?

...on second thoughts don't answer that question...

  3. Sorry, totally off topic here, but your illustration took me back to about 1964, when I was in 3rd year Grammar, and Our English master had just about reached the end of his tether. The exam paper of a peer of mine, when it came back from marking, had "FUCK IT ALL" scrawled across it in red ink, with the addendum "You write like a constipated scientist" underneath. We thought it was a hoot, but needless to say, said teacher did not re-appear the following term. Kids are mercilessly cruel. We'd driven him to it, of course. Poor bugger. Sorry again - but that cartoon just inspired a sudden flash of childhood memory! :¬))

Hopefully that means 200 shoppers will now stand up for themselves and fight back by insisting the UKBA keep to their OWN rules.

    Fight back and RECORD.

  7. I wonder how many readers you have among UKBA staff now?

Some of them must be grateful for the early warning that the old game has got to change?

"In the eyes of the Tribunal the review letter contained several preconceptions, prejudgments and non-sequiturs"

"the absurdity of this reason is demonstrated by simply stating it"

"We therefore find that Mr Sked misdirected himself as to the Policy in carrying out the review and his decision is therefore one that no reasonable review officer could have arrived at."

... commonly known here at N2D as 'Skeds' ... that is to say these are Judges comments regarding UKBA Review Officer Ian Sked's reasons for rejecting peoples appeals against seizures.
