To Battle! ... 25 Parking Tickets Beaten ... Now for 26, 27 & 28.

Tomorrow l am accompanying Zaphod to court to fight another batch of parking tickets. l don't know what the number is now but l think it's 27 or 28. Zaphod will have to tell you the correct figure.

As with the UKBA, we have not lost. That's right, we have won all the battles against parking tickets ... period! Tomorrow l expect the same result.

To be fair, it's Zaphod who takes the laurels for this as even if a ticket gets put on my Merc ... he takes it and fights it.

  2. You'll have to let us know how you successfully beat the parking tickets.

I refuse to pay any parking charges at all in my local town as the council theives already steal far more than they are worth in council tax. The current parking regime is outsourced to a private company so I suspect that maybe one tack to take.

Next time I get a parking ticket, I am going to ask to whom the land I was parked on belongs and either a) make reparation directly to the owner, or b) if the land belongs to the council it also belongs to the council taxpayers and therefore no chanrge should be levied.

    Worth a shot.

  3. Can you share some examples with us, so that we may learn. I beat a parking ticket once on the grounds I didn't have any change, and when I got some, the drones wouldn't let me buy a ticket. It went to an adudicator who found in my favour.

"In the eyes of the Tribunal the review letter contained several preconceptions, prejudgments and non-sequiturs"

"the absurdity of this reason is demonstrated by simply stating it"

"We therefore find that Mr Sked misdirected himself as to the Policy in carrying out the review and his decision is therefore one that no reasonable review officer could have arrived at."

... commonly known here at N2D as 'Skeds' ... that is to say these are Judges comments regarding UKBA Review Officer Ian Sked's reasons for rejecting peoples appeals against seizures.
