  1. It may look like just any old bus, but we've bonded with it, (after applying a lot of elbow grease).

    So no uniformed jobsworth had better try to take it away from us!

    Remember, it's not just ours. It's yours, too!

  2. ...someone took the phrase 'white van man' a little too literally.

    2. Hey ... it's black and white ok? Just happens to be my rugby teams colours ... pure coincidence of course.

      Yellow? ... we've already got a banana van thank you very much!

    3. ... and BD ... it's a mini bus thank you very much ... not a van! lt even says 'bus' on the tax disc ... so there! :)

    4. My "banana van" is not a van, it's a 5000Watt(rms) ghetto blaster with wheels and an engine. Actually. :-)

    5. That's definitely one way of looking at it! :)

  3. There is still the fitting out of luggage racks to do but that can be done whilst the bus is operational. lt has the first stage of the sound system fitted and will play your i-pod/i-phone/android/usb mem stick and regular CD's but seeing our sound system boasts approx 1500 albums you shouldn't need yours. The old OEM speakers have been stripped out and replaced with quality speakers. Second stage of sound system to follow asap.

    Satnav is UK/EU and there is cctv fitted should the UKBA/Border Force show up. Tachograph also fitted to comply with EU mainland regs.

    Then there's the other EU stuff ... warning triangle, hi-viz jackets, medical kit, spare bulbs, breathalysers, headlamp adaptors etc etc.

    TV awaits the drivers/passengers overhead luggage compartment. Groups that are already committed to us are Normandy Veterans Association, Royal Navy Association, Shopmobility Sheffield and Hull and East Riding Disabled Society. We also hope to have onboard our local community radio station.

    We don't just talk the talk ... we walk the walk ... period!

  13. I take it that Manchester is not on the bus route to Folkestone, plus I can`t wait for the Zeebrugge trips from October (I wonder if they could use an experienced ex continental trucker?}

"In the eyes of the Tribunal the review letter contained several preconceptions, prejudgments and non-sequiturs"

"the absurdity of this reason is demonstrated by simply stating it"

"We therefore find that Mr Sked misdirected himself as to the Policy in carrying out the review and his decision is therefore one that no reasonable review officer could have arrived at."

... commonly known here at N2D as 'Skeds' ... that is to say these are Judges comments regarding UKBA Review Officer Ian Sked's reasons for rejecting peoples appeals against seizures.
