UKBA Securing Our Borders ... hahahahahaha!

I've heard a great deal about how the UKBA secure our borders and how they fight smuggling too by keeping data on our travel. This being the case, l decided to see what they held on me seeing l've given them so much grief.. So l sent in a SAR (Subject Access Request) along with a cheque for 10 pounds and waited for the detailed results. Today l received UKBA's detailed reply ... or as they state "Please find attached copies of your entry/exits to and from the UK" and other details held.

..................................................

On top of this they have me listed for a stop and search when l returned to Hull on 08/03/2011 where they say "Nothing of Customs interest following search of vehicle" but you'll note from the above list that there is no record of me entering the country at that time. They also have me down for a stop and search on 07/01/2011 ... where the hell this comes from l have no idea as l was staying in London at that time spending a week with my brother!!!

The travel data they have on me is a bloody joke ... at best it shows 33% of my travel to and from UK. There are loads of trips completely missing.

Am l surprised? ... NO!    UKBA simply are in a complete mess .... FACT! ... and they tell us they are securing our borders???? ... yeah, right!

Further confirmation came when Zaphod received his SAR results that were requested at the same time as l put mine in. Even though Zaphod has travelled with me on quite a few trips and these were booked on same credit card .... his results were .... UKBA have NO records of him ever leaving the UK!!!!! or any details of any stop and searches or seizures ... or subsequent appeals!!!

  5. ..and people call ME a loon when I tell them that Bin Laden isn't dead but working in a kebab shop in Catford???! How would the Skeds even know?

Seriously, it's almost like that kiddy's song the 'Oh The Okey AlQaeda'...you know.. the one that goes "The taliban come in. The taliban go out. In-out-in-out and the Skeds do nowt"

  6. They have not got listed any of my trips to the EU made by ferry ... not one, even inbound or outbound. What stands out on my trips by air that are listed is that the missing data is for inbound only.

l don't know about you but if l was worried about terrorism (which l'm not), l would be more concerned about them coming in ... not going out!

  7. Christ. Good job Osama bin Laden's been shot dead or he'd be in and out under the alias of Avent bin Smokin and the daft sods would be none the wiser.

  8. lt aint about terrorists, it's about keeping tabs on the Brits and arresting them if they aint paid a wheelybin fine or parking fine or any other fine. And to stop them buying cheap baccy. All other nationalities come and go as they like.

So you're officially not in the UK at the moment.

Might be time to rob a bank, & if you subsequently get your collar felt, you've the perfect alibi.

  11. You think YOU've been deleted? They have no records of me! And they charged a tenner to tell me that, and told me not to write back unless I give them another tenner!

Is the first letter now in the record? Will they admit that if I pay up again?

Am I raving? Where's me tablets? Nurse!

  13. l put in a complaint on Mon about the above SAR to rectify incorrect information about me (not the travel details as l couldn't care less about them).
Since then, everyday l've receieved an automated response:-

"Thank you for your email. This is an automatically generated response which contains some important information; please read it carefully.

If you have made a complaint about a service provided by UK Border Agency's Border Force, we aim to investigate it and reply to you within 20 working days."

Will l get 3 replies? ... or another automated response tomorrow and everyday thereafter? What a wonderful IT system they've got!

l don't really expect any satisfaction from my complaint ... other than annoying them and being a pain in the ass!

"In the eyes of the Tribunal the review letter contained several preconceptions, prejudgments and non-sequiturs"

"the absurdity of this reason is demonstrated by simply stating it"

"We therefore find that Mr Sked misdirected himself as to the Policy in carrying out the review and his decision is therefore one that no reasonable review officer could have arrived at."

... commonly known here at N2D as 'Skeds' ... that is to say these are Judges comments regarding UKBA Review Officer Ian Sked's reasons for rejecting peoples appeals against seizures.
