l'm bringing in cigarettes for my own personal use so ....
.... that means l'm fighting smuggling! l can't afford UK prices and l don't want to be illegal and buy off white van man. Therefore I go to the EU and purchase duty paid cigarettes and obey the regs/laws but there is a problem ... the UKBA don't want me to and do everything in their power to stop me.
That can only mean one thing .... they are the white van men!
lt's about time someone stopped them ... l'm doing my bit, are you? lf you are a smoker it's your duty to buy your tobacco abroad.
Let's get rid of this UKBA corruption!

"In the eyes of the Tribunal the review letter contained several preconceptions, prejudgments and non-sequiturs"
"the absurdity of this reason is demonstrated by simply stating it"
"We therefore find that Mr Sked misdirected himself as to the Policy in carrying out the review and his decision is therefore one that no reasonable review officer could have arrived at."
... commonly known here at N2D as 'Skeds' ... that is to say these are Judges comments regarding UKBA Review Officer Ian Sked's reasons for rejecting peoples appeals against seizures.

So, you're a crime-fighting super-hero? Wow! Underpants outside your trousers, and a cape, are called for.
ReplyDeleteYou're right though. Everyone that follows your advice is a lost customer for the smuggler. You should apply for a government grant! Charity status can't be far behind?
Nah, l'm sticking to the Cap'n Jack Sparrow look.
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, government grant? ... now that's an idea.
I'm fed up to the back teeth of being stopped and interogated by customs everytime I have been abroad 'shopping' however this will not deter me as it should'nt deter anyone, afterall...WE ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG...
