For soldiers caught up in conflicts in foreign countries and the civilians who live there.

Posted this in Subrosa's comments a while back but it deserves a post of it's own.

  1. An essential ingredient in any rebellion of worth,is a band of men who have hearts through which floods the blood of valour and honour.
Sadly, today in this England, through the shivering arteries of Metromen trickles one
part Sainsburys own brand wine and the other
part sweetened piss.We have become a race of
    educated cowards and hidden heroes.

    Look back in envy.

  2. The politicians and civil servants utter the words 'we' as though it is themselves who are going to fight. Nothing could be further from the truth. lf those politicians and civil servants had to stand side by side with soldiers at the front, the forces would get every piece of equipment they needed. As`it is, they stand behind our troops. 1000's of miles behind!

"In the eyes of the Tribunal the review letter contained several preconceptions, prejudgments and non-sequiturs"

"the absurdity of this reason is demonstrated by simply stating it"

"We therefore find that Mr Sked misdirected himself as to the Policy in carrying out the review and his decision is therefore one that no reasonable review officer could have arrived at."

... commonly known here at N2D as 'Skeds' ... that is to say these are Judges comments regarding UKBA Review Officer Ian Sked's reasons for rejecting peoples appeals against seizures.
