N2D Social Club Update

We're now at the stage where all we are waiting for is the Section 19 Permit for the minibus which has been applied for. We have been assured that there should be no problem and we are expecting delivery any day now. Everything else is in hand.

In the meantime, here's a pic of from the inside of the minibus showing some of the equipment. Tge sound system will  be capable of playing any of the music you should wish to bring. lt can be on USB memory stick, your own recorded CD's or originals and has an Aux input via a 3.5 mm stereo jack.

Sat/Nav is completely upto date for EU and UK. It's also got live updates that gives you the quickest and best routes in real time. The other piece of equipment you can see is part of the cctv system.


We have a number of disabled groups coming onboard and to give you an idea of their mindset ... let me show their preferred disabled sign :-

All good fun ... but serious fun :)

      It's a Section 19 Road Traffic Act 1985 permit.Hopefully we'll have some members and volunteers by the time of the inaugural meeting on Saturday...All help appreciated bobi

      Anyone wanting to drive the bus should read this
      the Section 19 Regulations 2009 which amends the 1985 Act

      We count as a 'small' bus (up to 17 seats) and have applied for a class A permit
      The permit only applies to the UK; on the continent a D1(101) or D1 classification must be held to drive..

      effectively the social club has 2 websites n2d.sc and in the uk n2d.me.uk. Because its easier to set the email up on .me.uk we've done it that way..

      Hi Bobi, thanks for the explanation, I just misread SH's answer and got a little confused (not an uncommon event I might add) that's all. I was pretty sure I hadn't setup emails on the ".me"...but my memory has holes like a swiss cheese - years of alcohol abuse having left my brain with more lesions than a lab rat.



      PS. I'm surprised to hear it's easier to set up email on an .uk domain though...don't most people run their domain emails through Gmail these days and simply edit the MX? Not that I have any idea about such things.
