Hope you are all having a good Xmas.
l am in the fortunate position of being able to enjoy myself with fellow revellers without having to worry about smoking bans in pubs, clubs etc. This is because l'm not in the UK for the festivities, l'm in Bulgaria. The pubs, cafes, restaurants and clubs are full with people enjoying themselves ... non-smokers are there too but not the complaining , moaning, righteous variety (l don't think they exist here) lt does really remind me of how it was in the UK and still could be if politicians actually kept their word (especially take note Cleggy boy!).
l shall be returning in the New Year, no doubt to be greeted by UKBA drones. Which reminds me, did you see the UKBA sent an e-mail out to it's officers asking them not to seek and search drug smugglers over the Xmas period?
Actually, l thought they did all this year round anyway whilst they concentrated on robbing EU shoppers of tobacco goods.
Best wishes to all good men (and women) :)

"In the eyes of the Tribunal the review letter contained several preconceptions, prejudgments and non-sequiturs"
"the absurdity of this reason is demonstrated by simply stating it"
"We therefore find that Mr Sked misdirected himself as to the Policy in carrying out the review and his decision is therefore one that no reasonable review officer could have arrived at."
... commonly known here at N2D as 'Skeds' ... that is to say these are Judges comments regarding UKBA Review Officer Ian Sked's reasons for rejecting peoples appeals against seizures.

Sounds good! Happy new year!
ReplyDeleteCheers Bucko, same to you. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're having good time. I'm in Spain from the 8th Jan. Let's see if they adhere to the smoking ban.
ReplyDeleteI thought you were having a giraffe about the drug mule search cessation story.
ReplyDeleteOf course, anybody with an ounce of halfzware shag gets the rubber glove up the bottom.
More lunacy in 2011 I expect, but have a rewarding new year
